Course Update (Hollow Tining)

Hi All,

This is just an update regarding the Hollow tining of the greens here at Allen Park. The previous date for the hollow tining had to be cancelled and changed. I can confirm the new agreed date will be this Wednesday 11th September and Thursday 12th September. As everyone is aware this is essential  maintenance for the greens.

I have put notifications up on the BRS Timesheet for Wednesday and Thursday on the hour from 8am through to 5pm to make all member aware that this is taking place and to inform that all greens will be on temporary’s.

If anyone has any questions or wants more information then please just get in touch.

Many Thanks

Craig

Success for our Junior Girls

Jorja Irwin and Lauren May Ong took part in the ILGU Ulster Girls District Foursomes at Balmoral G.C. in superb sunshine and won the 9 hole competition for girls without a full handicap. Lauren May is pictured with Jorja, as well as with Karen McMillen who is the ILGU Ulster Chairman of Junior Development, and also with other winners at the event.  Congratulations Jorja and Lauren May and all our Junior Committee and helpers.

Fred Daly Plate Competition – 2nd leg

Our Junior boys team in the in the Fred Daly Plate competition 2nd leg against Whitehead G.C. at Whitehead went down to a stronger team by 4.5 to 2.5 (8.5 to 5.5 over the two legs).  This was the Club’s first venture into the Fred Daly competition and has been a great experience for our young players and will keep them in good stead for future competitions.

The team for the 2nd leg at Whitehead is shown along with Team Captain Peadar Totten

GolfSixes Regional Qualifying Competition

Our Antrim Golf Club team of Kaya Holmes, Manus Black, Caitlin Ong, Jack Hennesy, Jak Irwin and Ryan McKay took part in the new GolfSixes competition for beginners at Blackwood G.C. on Friday.  All three pairings performed well against stronger opposition and although unlikely to qualify, it was a great experience for them.  It is great for our Junior leaders to see the enthusiasm of the boys and girls and their obvious enjoyment for the game.
