Unfortunately the lads didn’t fare well and lost 5-2

Better luck this Sunday for the return match at Allen Park!!

The Mayor’s Charity Golf Day is on Friday 20 April at Allen Park, Antrim and there are lots of prizes up for grabs as well as a chance to win a car! (Ts and Cs apply)

All proceeds go to Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, TinyLife and Sandes.

Euro prize limit reduced in Ireland for amateur golfers

Following requests from affiliated golf clubs in Ireland, the Amateur Status Prize Limit in the Euro area in Ireland will be lowered from €750 to €575 and will take effect from 1st February 2018.

The move, which is supported by The R&A following requests for consideration by the Golfing Union of Ireland and the Irish Ladies Golf Union, will ensure that the Prize Limit for amateur golf is now better aligned to the Sterling Pound limit of £500 and continual review of this will be undertaken by both Unions to assess the impact of this change.

Please find attached important information relating to the recently announced changes to the CONGU Handicapping Scheme, effective from 1st January 2018.

It is recommended that you pass this information on to your club Handicap Committee and to your membership in general, as well as displaying it in a prominent position in your clubhouse.
